Following an extensive search for appropriate candidates, we are delighted to welcome new board members, Linda Mizell, Glennis McKelphin, Jr. and Mark Irvine to our Board of Directors.
Linda Mizell currently serves as the legislative assistant for State Representative Malinda White. She will serve as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Board. Mrs. Mizell has more that 35 years working with the public serving on many human service boards and has more that 26 years in the banking industry.
Glennis McKelphin, Jr. brings a broad range of skills to the organization. Mr. McKelphin has a private consultant company, has in-depth financial and management experience and has served in the banking client services capacity. He also has supervisory, budget analysis and training experience and served as a former intern at United Way of Washington Parish serving as Executive Administrative Director.
Mark Irvine is a life-long resident of Bogalusa. He is the owner of the online advertising social media outlet “Washington Parish Weather Now”. Mr. Irvine serves on the Bogalusa Planning & Zoning Commission as well as the Washington Parish Tourism Board. Mr. Irvine has done consulting work for retail business and has a record of increased sales as much as 40% with local retailers.
As we continue our work, we anticipate that the wide-range of relevant experience and expertise from our board members will help us successfully achieve our goals of moving the organization forward it its mission. Given the diverse backgrounds and impressive track-records of each of our new board members, I am confident that their leadership will have a meaningful impact on our future growth.
